The company Nothing has introduced a new smartphone, the Nothing Phone (4b), which, according to the manufacturer, boasts the brand's longest-lasting battery ever.
The new model is a middle ground in terms of performance, somewhere between the (4a) and (3a) Lite versions. The global version of the device is equipped with a large 5.200 mAh battery, which is enough for up to 22 hours of continuous video playback, and supports 33-watt fast wired charging and 7,5-watt reverse charging.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, which puts it a step above the (3a) Lite model (which has a suggested retail price of €250) and slightly behind the (4a) model (which costs €350). The Nothing Phone (4b) starts at €330 and is available in white, black and blue in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configurations (no memory card slot). On the front, it features an excellent 6,77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080p+ resolution and a peak brightness of up to 2.000 nits, protected from scratches by Dragontrail Pro Glass.
On the back is a dual-camera system: a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view. The main camera can record 4K video at 30 frames per second, while the front selfie camera boasts 16 megapixels. The distinctive element remains the Glyph light interface on the back, which includes four white and one red LED; these can display countdown timers, recording status, and other customizable functions.
The Phone (4b) offers comprehensive connectivity with dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC, and it also features stereo speakers (there's no headphone jack). The phone is IP64-certified for splash and dust protection, has an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a side Essential Key button for quick access to AI features. The device runs the latest Nothing OS 4.1 (based on Android 16), with the company promising three years of OS updates and six years of security patches.
