The Chinese car brand has introduced a new plug-in hybrid station wagon, which remains outside the European market for now.
Although the Lynk & Co brand's offering on the European market is limited to a handful of models, such as the 01, the electric 02 and the plug-in hybrid 08, their range on the domestic Chinese market is significantly richer. Many models, including the 07 sedan, are not available here. Now this same sedan has also got its more practical and spacious station wagon version, which is coming to the market under the name Lynk & Co 07 GT.
The new 07 GT station wagon measures 4,85 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2,84 meters, meaning that the basic exterior dimensions are exactly the same as those of its sedan sibling. An interesting design feature of the new model is the traditional, manual door handles. This is a direct result of upcoming legal changes in China, where electrically operated, recessed handles, such as those found on the sedan version, will now be banned.
Under the hood is a 1,5-liter gasoline engine that develops 120 kW (163 hp). Although official details about the full hybrid system for the station wagon have not yet been fully revealed, it is expected that the powertrain will be taken directly from the sedan. It also includes an electric motor with an output of 180 kW (245 hp), which gives the vehicle an impressive system output of 300 kW (408 hp). Until Lynk & Co decides otherwise, European buyers will have to wait for this plug-in hybrid station wagon.
