Vespa GTS 310 Edizione Ottantesimo as an exquisite collector's item

Vespa celebrates eighty years of mobility and Italian joie de vivre with a very special collector's model. At the Foro Italico in Rome, the iconic brand presented the new Edizione Ottantesimo, based on the GTS 310.

Commemorating the year the scooter was first introduced in 1946, the series is limited to exactly 1.946 numbered examples worldwide. Two-wheeler enthusiasts can now order this exceptional collector's item online.

The special edition design highlights the essential characteristic of Vespa. The self-supporting bodywork in pure steel defines the visual appearance with a raw, matt metallic finish. This is nicely contrasted by the historic green colour, reminiscent of the brand's first models. This colour not only adorns the seat and rims, but also appears in the form of a large graphic with the number eighty on the sides of the scooter.

The wheel plates reinterpret the pressed sheet metal design of the legendary original Vespa 98 from 1946 and are equipped with an elegant "Diamond Cut" surface treatment. For solo riding, the passenger seat can be visually concealed with a removable cover in the vehicle color. However, the quilted bench seat is approved for two people. A numbered plate in the compartment under the seat and a correspondingly designed helmet complete the exclusive birthday package.

From a technical point of view, this special model is based on the GTS 310 and is equipped with a new single-cylinder engine with a power of 25 HP. This engine makes the anniversary edition the most powerful series Vespa of all time. Standard equipment includes modern LED headlights, a keyless start system and a 5-inch color screen with smartphone connection. Safety on wet paved roads is ensured by the anti-lock braking system and electronic traction control.

As an exclusive gift, the manufacturer includes a high-quality book from the luxury publishing house Assouline with every copy sold. This elegant illustrated book shows the long history of the design of this Italian style icon based on historical photographs from the factory's archives. Anyone who wants to secure one of the rare models should visit the online portal as soon as possible.
