The new electric two-seater from the Smart brand was presented to the global public in the form of street art ahead of its official premiere at the Paris Motor Show.
Smart has taken an unconventional approach to preview its latest model #2, unveiling the small electric two-seater in huge street murals in global metropolises such as Berlin, Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires and Melbourne. The street art offers a clear glimpse into the production design of the car months before its official world premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026. With this innovative step, the brand wants to emphasize the vehicle's genuine connection to urban culture and attract buyers of small city cars even before all the details are revealed.

The renderings reveal that the Smart #2 faithfully maintains the proportions that made its predecessor the Fortwo famous, with an emphasis on very short overhangs and a spacious passenger compartment. With rounded lines, wide fenders and modern lighting elements at the front and rear, the new model appears much more robust, but also prestigious. The vehicle is built on a dedicated electric platform, the Electric Compact Architecture, which maximizes interior space despite its extremely compact exterior dimensions, with the design influences of the concept also hinting at high-quality materials in the cabin.
The final technical specifications remain a secret until the premiere, however, the first data promises approximately 300 kilometers of electric range according to the WLTP cycle. The Smart #2 will also enable fast charging of the battery from 10 to 80 percent in less than twenty minutes. The model is expected to be on the market next year, and European prices are expected to start at around 20.000 euros.
