Following the successful debut of the RS6-LE 800, Abt is now presenting the spectacular RS3 630. This car is the second of a total of three exclusive special models with which the company is celebrating its 130th anniversary. This compact top-of-the-range sports car will be produced in a strictly limited series of just 30 units worldwide.
The heart of this sporty compact car is the so-called ABT POWER R performance upgrade. This increases the standard output of the turbo engine from 400 PS to around 463 kW or 630 PS and the maximum torque to 700 Nm. This enormous increase in power is made possible by the dedicated use of an optimized turbocharger and a powerful intercooler.
The comprehensive engine modification also includes the so-called IWI system, which stands for “Indirect Water/Ethanol Injection”. This indirect injection of water and ethanol begins upstream of the throttle valves, with a specially developed electronic control unit precisely metering the mixture based on engine speed and load. The internal cooling of the combustion chamber that results in this allows cooler air to enter, which increases the oxygen content for combustion.
The result is consistently high power even under extreme full load, as the engine electronics are no longer forced to reduce power for safety reasons. Since production of the five-cylinder engine will end in the near future, Abt believes that the IWI system provides the ideal technical basis for fully exploiting the full potential of this power unit again. The system and full performance are activated very easily via the myABT app, which is directly integrated into the vehicle's infotainment system via Apple CarPlay. The RS3 630 equipped with this system reaches a top speed of 300 km/h.
The visually sporty character is also emphasised by the exclusive aerodynamic package in glossy black carbon. The front spoiler with integrated front wings is equipped with a distinctive special model lettering, while the rear of the car is adorned with precisely fitting inserts in the rear spoiler along with an exclusive emblem plaque.
Two matt white or matt black twin exhaust pipes with a diameter of 95 millimetres integrate seamlessly into the powerful overall image. Optimum road holding is ensured by a coil-over sports suspension with separately adjustable compression and rebound damping, which the Abt engineers have precisely adapted to the vehicle's performance characteristics. Together with sports stabilisers on both axles, this reduces the tendency to roll and significantly increases driving precision without compromising the characteristic everyday driving comfort.
Contact with the asphalt is ensured by 245/30 R20 tires mounted on 20-inch ABT HIGH PERFORMANCE HR20 forged wheels. These are painted in an elegant satin gold color and visually enhance the solemn anniversary theme. Inside, the exclusive finish continues consistently. The front seats and the center armrest have been specially designed and finished to create a luxurious atmosphere. When entering the vehicle, the driver is greeted by special sills and pleasant door opening lighting.
A special cover for the start/stop switch, custom-made floor mats and a plaque with the inscription “1 of 30” on the dashboard underline the vehicle’s handcrafted character. Hans-Jürgen Abt emphasizes that they wanted to give this exceptional engine with its unique sound a fitting monument at its absolute peak before the end of production.
The third model in the anniversary trilogy will be presented in the coming weeks. The price of the conversion package is 58.000 euros including 19% VAT, to which must be added the installation costs of 9.500 euros and the TÜV technical inspection fee, and the official start of sales is scheduled for July 2026. In addition, you must already own an RS 3 (new vehicle price from 66.800 euros).
