Lamborghini has unveiled the new Temerario Tricolore at Monterey Car Week. This special edition model takes the colors of the Italian flag and combines them with a specially developed paint scheme and numerous individual interior details. It is the first Tricolore version from Lamborghini since the Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore from 2011.
Visually, the Temerario Tricolore boasts a two-tone body. The lower part is painted in “Blu Marinus Shiny”, while the roof, fenders and upper parts of the doors are painted in “Bianco Monocerus”. Black accents on the mirrors, bonnet, rear and rims create contrasts. This is complemented by red brake calipers and a green, white and red stripe on the bonnet.
The design is intentionally reminiscent of the Gallardo Tricolore, which was introduced 15 years ago. However, Lamborghini interprets this theme in a much more modern way, using the new design language of the Temerario, with its distinctive front end, hexagonal daytime running lights and open engine.
The colour scheme continues inside. Black leather is interwoven with red contrast stitching, complemented by hexagonal patterns and numerous exclusive design elements. The door panels feature an embroidered "Tricolore" lettering, while the rear of the interior features a vehicle silhouette.
This special model was created in collaboration between Lamborghini Centro Stile and the Ad Personam personalization program. The Italians are also using the Temerario Tricolore model to showcase the possibilities of factory personalization.
In terms of technology, nothing has changed compared to the regular Temerario model. The plug-in hybrid combines a newly developed 4,0-liter V8 biturbo engine with three electric motors, achieving a total output of 920 hp.
Lamborghini claims a 0-100 km/h time of 2,7 seconds and a top speed of over 340 km/h. The V8 engine reaches 10.000 rpm, making it one of the highest-revving production engines of its type.
Lamborghini has not yet announced whether the Temerario Tricolore will be produced in a limited series and how much additional money buyers will have to pay for this exclusive configuration.
