Hungarian GP: Qualifications Verstappn

Max Verstappen proved in the best way that he is Red Bull really on the rise. However, the red bulls were also helped by the track configuration, but the young Dutchman won his first best starting position with an exceptional run.

Max Verstappen he will forever remember today’s qualifiers at Hungaoring as the young Dutchman won his first pole position, albeit very closely ahead of Mercedes racer Bottas. Both Verstappen as well Red Bull they prove that this connection is always better and that we will see even more such performances this year. Lewis Hamilton was right when he said here at the Hungaroring that he could be Red Bull also very strong this time and that this would not surprise him.

He secured second place and thus the first starting line Valtteri Bottas, who was faster than his teammate Lewis Hamilton, which this time will start the race from the second starting line. For the Finnish racer, this result is very welcome, as he has to correct a bad impression from Hockenheim. But he will have to prove it tomorrow in the race, where his teammate is usually stronger.

In fourth and fifth place are both Ferraris. Charles Leclerc was faster to learn than Sebastian Vettl, so he will start tomorrow’s race next to Hamilton in the second starting row. The third Vettel will have a second racer with him in the third starting line Red Bulla Pierre Gaslya. Ferrari was by far the fastest in the first sector, but the Reds wasted it all in the last sector. Their backlog this Red Bullom is more than half a second, proving that there is only a third power here at the Hungaroring.

McLaren's good form was proved by both of their racers with excellent performances Lando Norris on the seventh and Carlos Sainz in eighth place. Both were about 1,2 seconds behind the fastest Verstappn. The ninth place was won by the racer of the Haas team Romain Grosjean and we believe he satisfied his boss Günther Steiner with this result. The tenth, however, was a routine Kimi Raikkonen in Alfa Romeo.

Surprising is the poor ranking of Daniel Ricciardo, who was eliminated in the first part of the qualifications. He almost took care of the surprise George russel, who ran a little short to qualify for the second part of the qualifiers with Willams.

Let’s finally add that it has Max Verstappen tomorrow a very nice opportunity to win the second victory in a row and go to the summer break with a wide smile. If he catches the start well and emerges as the winner from the first bend, he will have a largely free path to victory. Because we know that overtaking in F1 is very difficult this year - with equal race cars - and the ground plan of the Hungaoring track adds its own.

The race for the Hungarian Grand Prix will take place tomorrow, Sunday, starting at 15.10:XNUMX p.m.
