PAGANS IMOLA: The new HYPER-ATHLETE was shown before GENEVA

Pagani has officially announced the arrival of its new hypersport, named after one of Italy’s most famous racetracks.

It basically goes for the hardcore version of Huayre, and it is Imola more than that though. We were able to see Horace Pagani’s new creation for the first time last September, when it was posted on social media by its owner, and everything else has so far been shrouded in a veil of secrecy.

Imola drove more than 16.000 test kilometers on the eponymous racetrack.

Now things are much clearer - Imolo is driving Mercedes six-liter V12 with two turbochargers, which is sufficient for maximum power 835 "horsepower" and 1.100 Nm of maximum torque. Power and torque are transmitted via a seven-speed automatic transmission xtract they transfer to the rear wheel pair, and compared to previous versions, the new gearbox is even faster to shift, mainly due to a new invention, which was called Smart Gas by Pagani.

The Pagania Imolo is powered by a six-liter Mercedes V12 with two turbochargers.

The basic cell of the car is an additionally reinforced monocoque in a combination of carbon and titanium, and the Pagani Imola also boasts unique suspension geometry and active dampers connected to each other via central electronic units. The latter also takes care of the appropriate relations between the ponon unit, gearbox and differential.

Pri Pagania are with the new Imolo will cover more than 16.000 kilometers on the eponymous racetrack, and will produce only five examples, each of which will be valid five million plus tax. The newcomer is also the first Pagans to be painted according to the new system they named Watercolor Light and in which, by applying paint, they save as much as five kilograms in the weight of the car, while still retaining texture, gloss and color depth. They managed to keep the weight of the car at all 1.246 kilograms also due to the development of 770 new components, for which aluminum, titanium and chromium-molybdenum were mainly used.

The hyper-athlete weighs a total of 1.246 kilograms, they will make only five examples, and five million euros will have to be deducted for each.

Horacio Pagani said at the presentation: "We are aware that we did not create an elegant car, but we did not want that. Our goal was to create an efficient athlete who will recreate the sensations that you can only get when racing with a Formula 1 car. That is why Imola has added some aerodynamic accessories that may not be aesthetic at first glance, but are therefore effective in setting up. fast times, steering and safety. "

Regardless of the sporting purpose, Imola offers the driver and passenger all the necessary comfort.

New Pagani imola will experience a world premiere live March 3 at the Geneva Motor Show.
