Volkswagen GOLF GTI, GTD and GTE in the eighth GENERATION

Expected at VW People's Athlete v in all three versions it’s not about revolution in terms of design, but in Wolfsburg they’ve come up with some innovations that mix with traditional approaches. New VW GTI, GTD and GTE so from now on they have a light strip that runs across the entire front above the mask, and each of them also got assigned alloy wheels that belong to his personality

The Golf GTD is powered by a two-liter turbodiesel with a maximum power of 147 kW (200 hp).

In the case of Golf GTI power and torque come from two-liter EA888 TSI powertrainwho can 245 hp and 370 Nm maximum torque, and can be combined with a six-speed manual or, for an additional charge, a seven-speed automatic transmission.

VW Golf GTD will be available with a two-liter turbocharged diesel engine capable of maximum power 147 kW (200 hp) and 400 Nm maximum torque. It is only available with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The VW Golf GTE will be available with a combination of a 1,4-liter four-cylinder petrol, which is capable of 110 kW (150 hp) and an electric motor, and the total power of both drive units is 245 BAM, so the same as with the GTI. The only option regarding the transmission is a six-speed DSG, and electric autonomy is provided by performance batteries 13 kWh, which means 60 kilometers of electrical independence.

A new trademark is a light strip above the mask.

Another novelty is the improved driving control system Vehicle Dynamics Manager, which controls the differential lock and adaptive DCC suspension and makes the GTI just under two inches closer to the ground than a conventional Golf. The system provides several driving modes that the driver can select via the selector on the steering wheel.

Inside, it is worth mentioning you Innovision Cockpit, which means a 10,25-inch screen that replaces the classic gauges, and a 10-inch screen on the center console.

The family of sports Golfs will be introduced to the public at salon in Geneva.
