Accurate calendar of the F1 2020 season not yet determined. It is still unclear whether there will really be 15 to 18 races in the end, as they wish at Liberty Media. That's why the team boss Haas, Gunther Steiner, points out that it only makes sense to run the season if the right number of races is guaranteed.

“I think it would be worst if we only had eight races. Because then you spend a lot of money on racing, but you have little income, ”he says. explains the 55-year-old in the podcast "F1 Nation": "Because if there are no races, you don't spend valuable money on racing and everything that goes with it."

That would be, of course a completely different scenario than expected, however Steiner he believes his team could survive the season without a single race. After all, development for next season is frozen. Nevertheless, the Italian emphasizes: "I hope the plan succeeds and that we run at least 15 races."

Günther Steiner says his team would also survive the cancellation of the entire season.

There are fifteen in this case "Magic number"which justifies economic sense performance of the 2020 season. "I think everyone has similar interests as us, we have to set a decent schedule or nothing," he adds Steiner. At the same time, he also acknowledges that teams should not only think about themselves, but also about Formula 1 fans.

"He accompanies us to millions of people," se Steiner is aware of the importance of the audience living for Formula 1. “We have to do everything to entertain them again. Apparently they like F1, otherwise they wouldn’t be watching it! That is why we must be responsible, because we owe them a lot because of the pandemic. If we don't offer them entertainment, they will find new hobbies, which will be so much worse for us. "

The first man of the Haas team is v regular contact with both racers, who also can’t wait for the season to start. Regarding the fact that he has staff from three countries, Steiner sees no problem, as he is the only one who goes to the races from USA. No staff from UK and Italy at the moment it can’t be Formula 1 anyway, Tirolec adds.
