MICHAEL MASI on the use of different variants of the tracks: Bahrain can, but Silverstone cannot

FIA race director Michael Masi has confirmed that Formula 1 at the Bahrain racetrack can run its second race on the outer circuit, which Ross Brawn named the oval.

Outer circle racetracks v Bahrain is s 3,543 kilometers almost 2 kilometers shorter like the usual Grand Prix track. The length of the race would increase by 30 rounds (i.e. 87 laps) to reach the minimum race distance 305 kilometers. The smallest circle length according to FIA rules for Formula 1 je 3,5 kilometers. In Silverstone that amount 2,979 kilometers, V Monaco pa 3,34 kilometers, however, both have venues permission to run a race World Cup.
