The new MAZDA BT-50 with Kodo design and Isuzu roots

A good week after the first escaped photo, Mazda presented a new generation of its BT-50 semi-truck model

In fact, yes current BT-50 not exactly on the same design level as the rest of Mazda's sales range, but that will now change as the newcomer is designed in the spirit of house design philosophies Kodo, which means a recognizable front, a mask in style model CX-5 (and all other Mazda models) and slightly simpler taillights.

There is even more novelty on the inside than on the outside new Mazda BT-50, which got better materials, a new steering wheel and a large infotainment screen that also supports Apple CarPlay in Android Auto. Mazda has joined forces with Isuzu this time, which of course means that the new BT-50 shares the basis with the model D-Max and no longer with the Ford Ranger, but is powered by a three-liter turbodiesel with a maximum power of 114 kW 190 hp) and 450 Nm of torque.

The new BT-50 is based on the same basis as the Isuzu D-Max.

This is also why it should not be difficult for a novice to tow a trailer with a maximum weight of 3.500 kilograms and a load of 1.000 kilograms. Mazda has dedicated quite a number of assistance systems to its working animal, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring in Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Start selling a new one Mazda pick-up is forecast for the second half of this year.
