SIMON ROBERTS, head of the WILLIAMS team, tested positive for coronavirus

Simon Roberts, the interim head of the Williams team, will not be present at the race in Turkey as his coronavirus test was positive.

Team Williams, which is currently under renovation, will have to run the next race GP of Turkey v Istanbul, scheduled for this weekend, to be done without a boss Simon Roberts. The team released a brief press release last night stating that he was Roberts tested positive for coronavirus before traveling to Istanbul.

"As part of the team’s regular tests, we received a negative test from Simon on Monday. But because he showed slight symptoms after that, he was tested again this morning, which was positive. Regardless, Simon is doing well. Under UK national regulations, he will go into isolation and support the work of the team this weekend from a distance,”So Williams.

At the racetrack Istanbul Park bo Simona Roberts replaces the duo Dave Redding, team manager and Adam Carter, chief engineer for racing cars. In addition to Roberts, a few other collaborators will be missing in Istanbul Williams.
