When I saw the accident that Romain experienced, I was completely shocked. All of us in this sport are well aware of the risks that our doing brings. I am very grateful that the halo system did its job flawlessly.
Physically, the race was extremely demanding, in addition, Max was extremely fast, as I constantly felt him behind me. I am very grateful to the team that again allowed me to create another outstanding result together.

It was scary at first, especially when we saw the fire and the red flag. Fortunately, everything seems to be fine with Romain.
As for our show, I don’t think we were aggressive enough about our strategy, we also had some trouble stopping in the pits, so second place isn’t even that bad after all.

The Bahrain Grand Prix didn’t start the best for me. I crashed into a fence on Friday, but a big rock fell from my heart today. I am also well aware of the fact that I was also quite lucky, as Sergio's engine failed just before the end of the race, and before that Bottas, who would otherwise be a very tough competitor, also dropped out of the game.
I would like to thank my team for being able to assemble the car after Friday's accident, but I personally think that in the last few races everything is going better than my hands.
