GROSJEAN: My return to ABU DABI depends on my left hand

Romain Grosjean is recovering well after a gruesome accident at the Bahrain GP race. In the final of the season in Abu Dhabi, the Frenchman wants to sit in the Haas car again. But it depends on the recovery of his left arm.

Romain Grosjean was allowed to leave the military hospital on 2 December Bahrain, but is still located in the desert kingdom. He recovers quickly from the injuries he gained after fire accident at the Bahrain Grand Prix race.

It’s on social media French explained: "Meanwhile, I can strain my left leg again without pain, I had a sprained ankle there, in addition I have a bruise on my left knee and on my shoulder, buttocks and forearms." Grosjean wants in the final race v Abu Dhabi sit in the car again. At the moment, his biggest problem is left hand. "My left thumb broke, maybe the ligament was damaged, but above all, my hand was still very swollen and this swelling must first subside. The pain is not as severe as I am taking a pain medication."

Romain Grosjean has already left a military hospital in Bahrain and is now recovering from injuries. He wants to return to the final race in Abu Dhabi, but that depends on the recovery of his left arm.

"I can move my fingers and make a fist as well, but my little finger is still inflamed and tightly tied. The biggest issue is my left arm, as it was also badly burned,” he says Grosjean. When asked why he wants to make it to the season finale in Abu Dhabi, he said: “I don’t want my story in Formula 1 to end that way. And I need to know how I feel when I step into the car again and whether I can still do it."

Romain Grosjean appeared yesterday for the first time since the accident in paddock racetracks v Bahrain and thanked everyone for their help in their truly horrific accident.
