MAGNA STEYR: 400.000th Mercedes-Benz G-CLASS rolls off ASSEMBLY LINE

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating an important milestone. At the Magna Steyr factory in Graz, 400 copies of the famous G arrived from the assembly lines.

The specimen in question will break out in Rhineland, where a new owner is already waiting for him. It is otherwise a model G400d, powered by a three-liter turbocharged six-cylinder diesel engine with a maximum power of 243 kW (330 hp).

"We are very proud of the achievement, ie 400 manufactured G-Class units. We would like to thank our loyal customers and our employees, and we would also like to thank our Austrian partners, the Magna Steyr factory," said the head of the off-road vehicle division at the Stuttgart brand, Emmerich Schiller.

New generation of class G has been in production since 2018, and a few months ago it was updated again and given more options to choose from. Customers can also customize the ride with 'G manufaktur' personalization program, which includes custom exterior colors and even more accessories to choose from. According to the manufacturer, about 60 percent of all G-Class customers opt for program G manufactory.

History field icons, which is the ancestor of the entire range of SUVs of the brand, therefore also capital letter 'G' in their labels, it began in 1972 with the participation of companies Daimler Benz in Steyr-Daimler-Puch. It was designed to offer exceptional performance on difficult terrain without sacrificing everyday usability, and in modern times Mercedes-Benz Class G in addition to all the above, it also offers uncompromising comfort and complete adaptation to the wishes of customers.
