formula 1 will be from the year 2022 on with the new race cars got a whole new face. They are supposed to bring the whole field together, significantly facilitate overtaking and on top of that they had spectacular appearance. The downside, though, is that they will slower of the current.

The reason is to change the philosophy of racing cars. At the same time, race cars generate the necessary vacuum through aerodynamics. Years 2022 however, this effect is thought to be greatly reduced because the wings create too much air turbulence and this makes overtaking significantly more difficult. To make these turbulences fly 2022 greatly reduced, they will be significantly increased for this purpose diffuser in the bottom of the car. Otherwise, the race cars will still be sucked into the track, but they will produce significantly less air vortices or so-called dirty air.

In 2022, new racing cars are coming to Formula 1, which are supposed to provide easier overtaking, greater evenness and better racing, but they will be significantly slower than the current ones.

"If we start from the fact that the air flow deteriorates by 50 percent today, when a racer wants to follow a competitor in front of him, then with the new car models we are at ten to fifteen percent,”Said the chief technician FIA for formulas Nicholas Tombazis. Meanwhile, they are in the wind tunnel for this purpose Sauber tested the appropriate model and this test confirmed the computer calculations.

Along with increasing the minimum weight from 749 kilograms in 2021 on 768 kilograms in 2022, lap times will be slower. The expected loss of time in the current calculations is between three and three and a half seconds. So they anticipate, for example, with the team McLaren. Nevertheless, this is much better, as some experts initially feared that the loss of time would be up to seven seconds.
