Lando Norris in Alexander albon they were rivals and friends already in the lower categories, and after the 2018 season they were out Formula 2 socially moved to Formula 1. Albon is in the first team Red Bull Racing advanced in the middle of the 2019 season, but lost the seat at the end of last season, in which he lagged far behind his teammate Max Verstappn.
The British driver with Thai roots will play the role of the team’s reserve racer this season Red Bull, but he will also drive some races DTM championships. Norris acknowledges that with Albon has not yet directly discussed the loss of a seat at Red Bullu, however, is of the opinion that it is a great pity that such talent as Albon, did not get a chance this season either.
"Alex and I are good friends, we understand each other well and we hear each other a lot, but we haven't covered this topic yet," he says Norris and adds: “I’m really sorry he won’t be playing in F1 this year because I know how good he is. This proves how cruel a sport Formula 1 can be. ”
“You can be very good and beat practically everything in a row in all categories, but in Formula 1 things are still a bit different. I have a very high opinion of Alex and I have a lot of respect for him, so I am sure he will return to Formula 1, ” he adds Norris.
