HYUNDAI Ioniq 5: RETRO design and state-of-the-art technology

Hyundai has unveiled the image of its new electric crossover, named the Ioniq 5.

The newcomer leans on Hyundai global platforms for electric vehicles E GMP, which, among other things, allows for a longer wheelbase, making it space in the passenger compartment in abundance, and at the same time such a design brings considerable advantages in the design of the car.

Such a solution also allows the possibility of 400 and 800V charging, which in combination with 350 kW charger means that the batteries are on Hyundai Ioniq 5 from 10 to 82 percent in just 18 minutes, and the Korean manufacturer also promises that 100 kilometers of range requires everything 5 minutes charging.

Hyundai ioniq 5 will be available with two sets of batteries, namely capacity 58 in 72,6 kWh. The most powerful version with two electric motors and a larger set of batteries will be able to system power 302 hp in 605 Nm maximum torque, which will be enough to sprint from a standstill to 100 km / h 5,2 seconds.

The maximum range will otherwise be provided by the z version one electric motor and a larger set of batteries that can be used to drive up to 480 kilometers away.

Don't be fooled by the exterior - the car in the photos works very compact, but it has a wheelbase of three meters and is larger than the Tucson. Stylistically, he is quite inspired by concept 45by Hyundai presented last year, and inside it will offer the driver and passengers plenty of space and technological solutions.

It is supposed to be a model in Europe ionic 5 arrived in the summer, and in the U.S. an electric Korean representative is coming out this fall.
