Renovated ŠKODA KODIAQ: Discrete CHANGES and new engine for KODIAQ RS

After almost five years on the market, Škoda has renewed one of its biggest sales assets, the Kodiaq model.

The innovations are more visible in the interior of the car than on the outside, as the changes on the body itself are relatively discreet, which is why the Czechs Kodiaq devoted quite a few new techniques and new powertrain for the representative at the top of the offer, model Kodiaq RS.

Happiness exterior we can mention that both bumpers are completely new, the radiator grille has also undergone some changes, the new ones are also new headlights, which are now slightly narrower, the same applies to the rear lights, and it is worth mentioning a new set of wheels up to the diameter 20 inches and inscription Škoda, which extends over the tailgate.

Skoda Kodiaq RS

The dashboard has not undergone major changes. It is still available with a standard 8-inch or an optional 9,2-inch infotainment system screen on top of the center console, and complements the digital interior meter display, which measures 10,25 inches diagonally. A novelty is the two-spoke steering wheel, which can be found in all of Kodiaks, except in models SportLine in RS - there the steering wheel has three arms.

Let's focus on the engine range. The basic instance is 1,5-liter TSI petrol engine maximum power 110 kW (150 HP), mated to a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. In this case, four-wheel drive is available at an additional cost, in all others it is standard. Two-liter TSI with 140 kW (190 hp) is the next gas station, and it’s on the diesel side two-liter TDI available in two “flavors”, namely s 110 kW (150 HP) and 147 kW (200 hp). The top of the offer represents Kodiaq RS, which is now powered by a two-liter petrol TSI engine of maximum power 180 kW (245 HP) and replaces the diesel predecessor.
