In both FORMULA 1 and the INDYCAR series, HALO did ITS WORK this weekend

The introduction of a safety bow around and above the heads of racers, which sounds like Halo, has received a lot of criticism years ago - mainly because of the aesthetic appearance of the race cars.

Dislike "flip flop”Slippers, as some have jokingly called this security novelty Formula 1, has even degenerated into disgust. Resistance reigned not only among the fans, but also against most of the racers.

In the meantime, a few years have passed and we have witnessed some incidents and accidents, where he was Halo vital. Of course, we remember last year's accident the most Romain Grosjean v Bahrain. There is no doubt here that he would have been without Halo system significantly less chance of survival - if he survived at all. And this weekend they happened again two accidents, where Halo played its part. Although the term life-saving is used very often, it’s nice to see that racers are less concerned about accidents.

The case in Imola, when the Halo system on Williams stopped a flying part of a Mercedes car.

The first example is, of course, a serious accident during Valtteri Bottas, a Mercedes racer and George Russell, Williams' racer in the last race VN Emilija Romanje in Imola, where they both took her away without serious consequences. That it is Russell the left front wheel almost crashed into the cab Bottas, is something most have seen. But she didn't see how it was Halo on the race car Williams retained part of the Bottas race car.

It was even hotter on Sunday at the IndyCar series race, where an aeroscreen containing the construction of the Halo system prevented the Newgarden racer’s wheel from colliding with the Hunter-Ray head.

The second case happened some hours later across a large puddle in USA at the American Series race IndyCar. Racer Ryan Hunter Reay he was perhaps even luckier than the Formula 1 racer in Imola. In the event of a collision with Joseph Newgarden je aeroscreen, which contains a halo construction, nicely repelled race car wheel competitors with whom they collided.
