ANALYSIS of longer distances of two workouts: HAMILTON lags behind

Mercedes achieved the fastest lap times in the first two free practice sessions. Based on the fact that the first two free practice sessions are shorter this year, this is more strenuous this season and the race simulations are slightly shorter.

Lewis Hamilton was at the top of free practice for the first time this season, but his speed at longer distances was slower than its direct competitors.

Max Verstappen complained over the radio about braking problems, but the team quickly rectified the fault so that Dutchman could get back on track. Unlike the previous racing weekend, this issue here at Portugal did not hinder his attempts to simulate the race. Sergio Perez found himself in tenth place after FP2. It was only 0,2 seconds apart Fernanda Alonso on the fifth and Lance Stroll in ninth place.

The order mid-field it is almost impossible to predict. Team race car AlpineF1 was much stronger compared to Bahrain and Imola, they may have worked successfully on the package update. Of course amount of fuel in the tank and modes engine operation are not known. AlpineF1 ranked ahead yesterday McLarn, while he was Ferrari closest to the best two teams. McLaren he drove 59 laps, slightly less than his rival Ferrari (66) in AlpineF1 (63), but without significant loss of track time.

Na medium mixture he had gum Valtteri Bottas compared to Mercedes racers and Red Bullbut the fastest average lap time on the race simulation namely 1: 23.242 minutes. The second was in this regard Sergio Perez with an average 1: 23.455 minutes, but it was a shade worse Max Verstappen s 1: 23.481 minutes. Lewis Hamilton is with the average lap time 1: 24.075 minutes slightly behind the top three. The Briton was b deleted the times of two laps due to a wide off-track run in the first turn. All of this shows that it has Hamilton hard to find with the balance of his car.

Nevertheless, the fastest average lap time belonged Charles Leclerc, which reached time on average 1: 23.192 minutes. Midfield teams are perhaps closer to the top teams compared to what we’ve seen in years past the hybrid period. Sebastian Vettel was on average 1,1 seconds slower than Red Bulla.
