The Grand Prix of RUSSIA is moving from Sochi to IGORA DRIVE

Race for the Grand Prix of Russia will move from the Sochi Olympics, to the recently built racetrack, in the 2023 season Igor Drive, near St. Petersburg.

The FIA issued the necessary permits to the racetrack last year, when the German DTM championship race was to be held there, but it was canceled four months before the race date. The 4-kilometer-long racetrack consists of fifteen bends and was designed by Herman Tilke.

Sochi racetrack will host the eighth race of the Formula 1 Championship this year, and after the race next season, the championship will have to say goodbye to the venue. The organizers have otherwise concluded with Formula 1 contract until the 2025 season, but due to the development of the infrastructure of the venue of the 2014 Winter Olympics, races on existing roads will no longer be possible.
