Sergio PEREZ: “There was some rain in the last sector”

Sergio Perez was very close to the pole position at yesterday’s US Grand Prix qualifiers in Austin, but was slightly confused by the raindrops in the final sector.

And yet he was Mexican satisfied. The whole racing weekend on the track COTA was in his element and only confirmed this in yesterday’s qualifiers with a third starting place.

Perez he will therefore start the race behind his teammate Max Verstappn and provided him with the necessary support and coverage. Ob standing ovations from the stands - there were a lot of his fans - said immediately after the qualifiers: "We were really close in the last attempt," explains the team racer. Red Bull.

"I think we did a great job as a team, but unfortunately my last attempt at a fast lap was not so good on the whole scale. In the last sector, I was hit a little too much by the rain and lost some grip. There will be a long race tomorrow. I don’t think the starting position is the most important as the tire wear will be great. I'm looking forward to the race,”He concluded Perez.
