Clarkson on HAMILTON: "Everyone loved him, now everyone wants to throw something in his head"

Jeremy Clarkson got over Hamilton again. The former Top Gear presenter does not like the Mercedes racer, but this week he especially touched on Hamilton's life outside of Formula 1.

According to Clarkson supposed to Hamilton increasingly losing its popularity due to statements that are social in nature. “When he first came on the scene, he was bright, talented and normal. Everyone loved him,”Is in his column for the newspaper The Sun wrote Clarkson.

He has been a racer for several years Mercedesa also politically involved, much to the anger of the 61-year-old. “But then he decided to wake up and become more politically correct than a student union assembly." Hamilton the compatriot disagrees with the direction he has taken seven-time world champion. "After the assassination of George Floyd, he had the Mercedes race car painted black, talks about how green it is now because he sold his plane, and calls on everyone to be vegetarians. All of this could work well on social media, but in the real world where people live, it doesn’t work at all."

Jeremy Clarkson believes Lewis Hamilton has changed 180 degrees and that his life outside of Formula 1 has led to fewer and fewer people adoring him.

Clarkson even points out that this is a problem for green movement. "They make Lewis a messenger who thinks he will convert the rest of us. But instead, we want you to throw something in his head. Every race weekend, Lewis Hamilton gets out of his race car and thanks the crowd in the stands - probably hoping they wouldn’t hear me whistling at him at home.“It turns out that Verstappen is gaining more and more fans in Formula 1, while it seems to be for Hamilton the opposite is true. He was recently 24-year-old Dutchman according to a poll of 150.000 fans chosen as the most popular racer in Formula 1. "People love Max Verstappn, but they say out loud that they don’t like Lewis. The problem is that Lewis has changed."
