The new MAZDA CX-60 is the STRONGEST representative of this Japanese brand

Mazda has introduced another crossover, this time the CX-60 model, which is based on the new platform and will also be available with a six-cylinder and as a plug-in hybrid.

The new model is a shade bigger from the sister Mazda CX-50sold in the North American market, but the CX-60 is the first representative to be placed on a new platform called Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture. It measures 4,75 meters in length, 1,89 meters in width and 1,68 meters in height 2,87 meters wheelbases.

The exterior follows Mazda’s in-house design philosophy Kodo - Soul of Motion, which means quite sporty moves and aggressive rear lines. An interesting design solution is the vertical design of the interior of the headlights, which continue into the horizontally placed LED daytime running lights. It will otherwise be available to customers eight exterior colors and wheel sets with rims measuring 18 or 20 inches.

Inside it is worth mentioning TFT-LCD screen dashboards and a 12,3-inch infotainment system screen, and a large head-up display before him. Great emphasis was also placed on Mazda personalization of settings, and the long wheelbase also means plenty of room for passengers' knees. The luggage space measures 570 liters.

It will be on the European markets Mazda CX-60 available with three powertrains as a plug - in hybrid with 2,5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder, which can produce 141 kW (190 hp) and electric motors of 100 kW. The system power is 241 kW (325 hp), making it the most powerful Mazda production model in the brand's history.

Another option is a three-liter in-line six-cylinder e-Skyactiv with the help of a mild hybrid system, and the diesel-powered version will be powered by a 3,3-liter e-Skyactiv D an engine that also works with a 48-volt electrical system. The launch of the new model in Europe is announced for next month.
