Colin KOLLES: I don't think VETTEL wants to race at all because of ASTON MARTINA's form

Former Formula One boss Colin Kolles has dealt with Aston Martin in an interview with Motor und Sport Magazin. In regard to Sebastian Vettl, however, he made a very bold statement.

Aston Martin is after the inaugural race in Bahrain also on the second c Saudi Arabia cared only for amazed faces Formula One Expert Council and disappointing his fans. So Lance stroll as well as Nico Hulkenberg, replacement for Sebastian Vettl, were again left empty-handed and were pulled below the line without any possibility. Also in view of the many resignations in Jedi, no one managed to score at least one point.

Finally, z Aston Martin already calculated Ralf Schumacher, now he was followed by another Colin kolles. "There will be nothing from this. They have an owner who thinks he’s the team boss. He knows everything better than the others and wants to put his son at the forefront with all his might. This is a completely wrong approach for me,He said Kolles a colleague from Sport1. Of course, it is perfectly clear who Kolles had in mind. Billionaire Lawrence Stroll, who in his racing team burn money, as Kolles illustrates. “If you take a million of any currency and throw it into the fire, the money will burn just as fast as in Formula 1 if you don’t know what you’re doing. And this is the case with Aston Martin."

Aston Martin has very ambitious plans, years 2025 the team wants to fight for the title. But current situation with the new rules is in compared to last year even a step back. After the previous team Racing Point had a successful season in 2020 with a race car based on Mercedes, was according to Kolles picked the wrong path. “Everything seemed fine until they took a close look and said it didn’t go that way. So they had to do everything new. The wrong decision was made. In this way, development in your own house is disabled. I don't want to talk about "weakening", but in principle it was. The atmosphere in the team is very bad if you take parts from elsewhere. Because then you know the owner doesn’t trust someone."

Kolles points out that the atmosphere in the Aston Martin team is very bad if the owner does not trust anyone and wants to assemble the car with the purchased parts.

In Sebastian Vettel? The German was missing in the first two races of the season due to coronavirus infection. “I believe he doesn’t want to race at all. He just doesn’t have the joy of doing it anymore. This is certainly a bold statement, but I'm sure he's thinking a lot about whether to do it."It simply came to our notice then. Hag he stressed before the season that he must identify progress and always see a light at the end of the tunnel. "It's only when I have to ask myself if all this effort is still worth it, if it all makes any sense to me, that you think about leaving.”The German told colleagues from Sport1. His contract with Aston Martin expires at the end of this season.

"Sebastian Vettel has grown older, earned a lot of money and has a family. He changed his orientation a little. He has more experience now and knows exactly what's going on here," so Kolleswhich further clarifies: "The fish always stinks at the head! I see that the team is not developing anywhere. As long as Mr. Whitmarsh has the floor and Mr. Stroll doesn't realize that it's better to stay home and just give guidelines for the budget and leave the work to people who get to know it and bring the right people to lead the team, this it will never work in life."

But as is well known, it is Sebastian Vettel in Australia he returns to the race car Aston Martin and he will be able to see for himself what can be done with AMR22, who did not prove himself in the first two races.
