BUGATTI W16 MISTRAL – 5 million. A SPORTSMAN worth € is put on display

First, the bad news: The odds of Qatar winning the FIFA World Cup on their home turf are greater than ever seeing a Bugatti W16 Mistral in action.

Because they will only be produced 99 copies, the price for the W16 Mistral will be astronomical, namely 5 million, and delivery to lucky and wealthy customers will start at the beginning in 2024. And believe it or not: all 99 super sports cars were immediately sold.

It's a good thing that we mere mortals are allowed to do that roadster can be seen in the photos taken in United Arab Emirates, which only proves that quite a few copies will go to the Middle East.

Bugatti has put its new roadster on display in the United Arab Emirates, where quite a few examples of the total of 99 produced are expected to travel there.

A new, wider, deeper and more three-dimensional version of the familiar Bugatti masks horseshoe-shaped refrigerator in the front part Bugatti W16 Mistral allows the high-temperature engine cooler to be fed exclusively through one inlet, so that both side inlets are reserved for intercoolers. Airflow round the front corners are controlled by two air intakes, one on the wheel and the other integrated into the new three-dimensional headlight design. Air is directed from a high pressure area to a lower pressure area in the wheel arch that would otherwise cause turbulence and drag, affecting performance W16 Mistral.

For the profile roadster the team reinterpreted Bugatti C-Line, which traditionally characterizes the profile Chiron. The line runs around the side air intakes to the upper edge of the side windows and then runs three-dimensionally across the edge of the windshield. "To do this we had to separate the engine air intakes from the oil cooler intakes,”He explained Achim Anscheidt, chief designer of Bugatti. "If we did not do this, we would have to increase the side intakes disproportionately. So we went back to the Veyron 16.4 Vitesse and Type 57 Roadster Grand Riad and installed the engine air intakes for the headrests."

The futuristic look of the rear, where the lights are in the shape of a capital letter X.

Anscheidt continues: “The air captured through the side intakes is directed via the two side radiators and the rear wheels to the Mistral W16's X-shaped taillights, a reinterpretation of the car's design. The air exits in a triangular space between the X-shaped lights. The resulting pressure drop between the side inlets and outlets at the rear of the Mistral W16 helps regulate engine temperature even under high loads."

W16 Mistral will drive in top speed mode with minimal rear wing pitch to reduce drag. This is why they optimized rear diffuser, as the pressure force generated by this diffuser has only a small effect on air resistance. The lip of the diffuser has been raised to increase the lean angle and stretch ratio, maintaining good handling and record speed Mistral W16.

They used premium and selected materials for the interior.

Achim Anscheidt"We created a timeless interior for this athlete. The redesigned door covers use premium quilted leather that has been carefully inspected and manufactured to Bugatti quality standards. And in the spirit of its famous predecessor, the Type 41 Royale, the Mistral W16 features a brushed aluminum solid block gear lever finished with wood and an amber inlay that includes Rembrandt Bugatti's famous dancing elephant sculpture."
