BMW may have a large number in his portfolio crossovers and SUVs, but that doesn't mean the Bavarians want to give up good old station wagon. Last year, the range was expanded with the launch of the first M3 Touring. By 2025, BMW is expected to expand its range with two derivatives based on the next generation of the series 5 Touring namely with a completely electric one i5 and powerful M5.
Meanwhile, colleagues at Motor.es computer designed series 5 Touring based on recent spy photos of a camouflaged prototype. At exterior design BMW will not make big leaps, because they gave up the oversized kidney and the separation of daytime running lights and main headlights. Also general body design not unusual, after all, the 5 Series is an important vehicle in the manufacturer's fleet. Although a digital design exercise shows M550i xDrive, the next generation 5 Series may no longer be available with V8 engine. There are rumors that only the most powerful will have this engine M5, which means the end for M550i. Interior will be greatly altered by the transition to iDrive9 infotainment systemwhich includes 12,3-inch driver display in front of the wheel and 14,9-inch infotainment screen in a slightly curved glass case. The latter will swallow the conventional elements of the air conditioner to simplify the center console, which we have already seen on the facelifted 3 Series and the latest 7 Series. There is a good chance it will be against end of this year or at the beginning in 2024 another series followed 5 Touring along with its electric brother. Rumor has it they will M5 sedan (G90) and M5 wagon (G91) presented in the coming year.
