PORSCHE with the VISION 357 concept to celebrate its 75th anniversary

Porsche released a trailer with a mysterious concept to celebrate the brand's 75th anniversary. Could it be the new roadster?

The first vehicle with a name Porsche, it was about 356 Roadster, was presented June 8, 1948. And the 75th anniversary of this car is fast approaching and the automaker plans to celebrate it with unknown design study, which was posted on Instagram on the page Porsche Newsroom.

The video in the trailer shows the mysterious Porsche under the silk sheet that sits between the 356 hardtop and the first 356 Roadster. It also appears on a trailer pulled by what appears to be a concept van Porsche Vision Rendienst. The silhouette under this sheet is all about you P car, by design fastback and inclined front part. The concept looks about the same size as the early ones model 911, although it has some obvious modern design elements. The tops of the fenders have a crease, modeled after the design study Vision Spyder, and a clearly visible diffuser protrudes from under the rear bumper.

The 356 Roadster was the first Porsche-branded car.

As for what they cooked up Porsche stylists, our guess was the same as yours—because it's hard to say what the hell is being prepared for the anniversary. Some are speculated, that the vehicle should have completely electric drive assembly, and still others hope that this is not the case and that a new athlete with a gasoline engine will arrive. Many Porsche's design studies over the past few years have used gasoline engine powertrains. Here comes to mind 904 Living Legend and its V2 engine. But with all-electric versions macana in 718, who are on the way, it seems likely that they will want to follow suit with this new concept.

Two days ago, at Porsche, they were still mysterious...

No more guessing – here is a car that combines past, present and future

Porsche didn't immediately announce when they would reveal theirs at first the latest design, but they did it after two days and showed us this new creation that lives up to its name Vision 357 Concept, with which they honored their past. The team Porsche Style aimed at reinterpreting the 356 for the modern era.

"The concept car is an attempt to unite the past, present and future with coherence," he said Michael Mauer, Vice President Porsche Style. Creation 357 takes over the proportions of the original, while also having stylish details that look in future. One of the most notable things about this concept is its elegance. There is no handle on the door, the designers hid it in the rear glass. Cameras replace traditional side mirrors. It's front and back Porsche hiding the lights behind perforations in the body panels, while integrating the third brake light into the rear fascia motif, one of many callbacks to the original model 356.

The Vision 357 Concept stands out above all for its elegance and fusion of past, present and future.

Early models 356 they had split windshield with a bar in the middle. While a similar emphasis is not present on Vision 357, Porsche played with the concept's glass, wrapping it around the black A-pillars to combine three window elements in one piece and resembled the visor of a helmet. He has a car 20-inch magnesium wheels with aerodynamic carbon fiber hubcaps. The exterior was completed with two-tone scheme namely with an icy metallic gray paint covering most of the car and metallic grey Grivola Gray, which highlights the front bumper. Big Stickers"75” adorn the doors and hood, while subtle decals “357” installed on the front fenders and rear panel. The company even tagged air intakes on the rear side windows with stickers "Air” and arrows pointing to these inlets. 357 exhausts through blued titanium tailpipes that have a ceramic interior.

Vision 357 is a styling concept that puts the powertrain in the background. However, it is Porsche built this car on a technological platform 718 Cayman GT4RS and will lend 4 to the concept.0-liter six-cylinder engine with forced charging that boasts s 493 BAM. The company says that they will design a mid-mounted synthetic-fuel powertrain, without indicating that they intend to mass-produce this car.

The rear is quite futuristic with lights integrated into the body.

The public will have the opportunity to see this concept at a special exhibition in Berlin in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Porsche brand sports cars. Exhibition in Drive Forum groups Volkswagen opens tomorrow January 27th and will last until mid-February. Porsche plans to present the concept at other international events throughout the year.
