MITSUBISHI will officially launch the new COLT in June

The small car is based on the Renault Clio, but information about the drives is already known.

Name Colt, which was first introduced in the 60s and has been used for small cars around the world ever since, is one of the company's best-known brands Mitsubishi Motors, especially in Europe. Colt (named after a young horse and not a gun) was one of the most popular models for decades Mitsubishi. Between 2004 and 2014 alone, more than 400.000 vehicles last generation. And this little car is coming back soon as its new edition will be officially unveiled June 8 this year. Mitsubishi has now confirmed this and added an image of the trailer.

Colt was developed specifically for Europe and includes many advanced technologies. In addition to the new ASX, which will be sold in European showrooms as compact SUV found in the second half of the month, will Colt supplemented Mitsubishi's offering in the important European B-segment. Like the Renault Captur-based Mitsubishi ASX, the future Colt is the child of an alliance Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and is based on CMF-B platform. For buyers with higher requirements in terms of performance, the Colt is equipped with a 1,0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with power 91 BAM in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission. It is the pinnacle of the model series hybrid drive, which combines 1,6 liter gasoline engine with two electric motors and automatic multi-mode transmission. This gives the car power 143 BAM. Mitsubishi mentions consumption 4,4 liter more 104 g / km CO2. The new Colt will be manufactured in the Turkish city Bursa, where the new Clio is also manufactured, and it will be available from the fall of this year.
