German sports car manufacturer Porsche is celebrating this year 75th anniversary and for this purpose they are at Porsche Design produced a special watch that will only be available in a few hundred copies. The watch is a special version of an already existing model Chronograph 1, which was first presented in 1972 and was the first product of the design house Porsche Design.
The company Porsche Design, which is closely related to the car company Porsche, he founded Ferdinand-Alexander Porsche, grandson Ferdinand Porsche, who founded this car company and designed the legendary the 911 sports model.
The official name of the watch is Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Design. The watch, which will be available in only 475 units and will cost 11.700 euros, has an anti-reflective matte black dial that is said to be inspired by the interior Porsche 911.
The dial is protected by sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating, and it also has the day and date located at three o'clock, as well as three function subdials chronograph, which you operate with the buttons on both sides of the crown.
The clock is also connected to the history of Porsche motorsport, so it has a frame around the perimeter tachymeter scale, which can be used to calculate the average speed of an object traveling a known distance, such as a car traveling one mile or completing one lap of a race track.
The back of the watch is interesting because transparent back made of sapphire crystal, showing the automatic movement of the watch and its rotor, which is designed to look like a legendary Fuchs rim from the original Porsche 911. The look is completed by the colored Porsche logo in the center and the individual watch number engraved into the case.
Instead of stainless steel, they used stainless steel for the watch case Titan, and is equipped with a specially designed leather strap with blue stitching and a central red stripe. A black leather strap with the same stitching is also available, and is used on both quick change system, so they can be easily replaced without the use of tools.
