Vehicle is a fully electric two-seater Shooting Brake. There are special features illuminated logo and an exterior color reminiscent of mercury. Triangular stands out in front light signature, inspired by the shape of the brand's logo. There is also a logo on the rims Cupra. It's in the back oversized diffuser with a "sword" in the middle that is made of a transparent crystal-like material and shaped to resemble the keel of a sailboat. The paintwork of the exhibition vehicle changes between depending on the light purple and silver color. The concept car is long 4,5 meters, wide 2,2 meters and tall only 1,3 meters. The door apparently opens upwards, but Cupra does not (yet) show their photos. The chief designer of the Cupra brand George Ten says: “Cupra DarkRebel embodies the whole DNA and values of the brand. With a wider shoulder line, a long hood and a lower passenger compartment, it is completely focused on the person sitting behind the wheel."
V inside obviously there is no center screen touch, but only the instrument display. Asymmetric center console is flush with the driver's seat. Angular steering wheel is designed to combine forms from racing cars with interactivity gaming tools. In addition, there are especially low-mounted bucket seats. Headrests are made of transparent material with copper inserts, but they are covered with fabric. Automatic dial lever on the center console, it is made of transparent material and also glows on top. The interior controls thermal imaging camera in the ceiling, and the intelligent climate system automatically regulates temperature and air flow. The color of the ambient lighting indicates whether the interior is heated or cooled. In addition, the materials used are 90 percent made from bamboo.
Concept vehicle premiered on night of the Volkswagen concern last Sunday evening. From Monday 4th September and throughout the IAA Mobility fair the car will be on display in an open space in the center Munich. Whether this car will become a production model is questionable.
