In terms of performance, Mazda2 Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9,7 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 175 km/h.

Mazda hasn't announced pricing for the facelifted model, but we wouldn't be surprised if it's more expensive compared to its predecessor if it follows the rest of the segment in this upward price spiral. A regular Mazda2, which was renewed earlier this year, remains available in Europe as a significantly cheaper alternative Mazda2 Hybrid. By offering two different models in this Mazda segment on the old continent lowers the average emissions of the vehicle fleet, without having to develop an electrified offer on its own. By 2030, the company plans to offer a range of electric vehicles that will cover "the most important segments of the European market".
