New Mini Cooper has already been featured on IAA, also electric Countryman. With the model aceman but the manufacturer has more up his sleeve the third electric car. It will be presented "in a few months", writes the manufacturer.
With length 4.075 mm, width 1.754 mm and height 1.495 mm se aceman classifies as a model cooper in Countryman. The third, independent model in the new Mini family, like the Countryman, has four doors and a large tailgate. Appearance of Aceman is already known from many masked models. Much more reminiscent of Mini Cooper like the rather tall and bulky Mini Countryman. Mini reveals for the first time exact dimensions of the Aceman model. According to the wheelbase, it is aceman closer to a Cooper than a Countryman. Even in height and length it is only a little bigger than Cooper. However, there is a difference in size compared to Countryman huge: Aceman is 16 cm lower and 36 cm shorter. While the three-door Cooper and five-door Countryman are also available with an internal combustion engine, it is aceman available exclusively with battery electric drive. It has a battery 54,2 kWh, as Mini now officially states. It is already rumored that the drive systems will be the same as the Cooper model.
Five-seater car with five doors, it should offer a lot of space inside despite its small external dimensions. Mini also promises great agility and low fuel consumption. As with the model Mini Cooper the technical basis of the Aceman model will also be the platform "Spotlight", which they developed together with the company Great Wall. The Aceman, just like the Cooper, will be produced on China. The Countryman, however, is based (like the BMW iX1) on architecture FAAR with front-wheel drive and will be manufactured in Leipzig.
Although the model will be presented only after a few months, will be Mini's novice supposedly in the market only in 2025, and until the world premiere, it will have to be tested, tested, tested. After cold tests in the arctic circle, it is Crossovers now in finals tests in the desert, in strong sun and heat. In addition to driving dynamics and comfort, they will be at temperatures up to 50 degrees Celsius air conditioning, battery charging and cooling, drive and control units also tested.
