2025 model year Nissan GT-R unveiled in Japan for perhaps the last time before its inevitable demise

The T-Spec and Track Edition versions of the GT-R are equipped with Nismo components, while the Premium Edition is now available with a Blue Heaven interior.

Nissan has introduced some updates to the Japanese-market GT-R for the 2025 model year, including a new blue interior option and Nismo accessories for the T-Spec and Track Edition models. Rumor has it it will Nissan GT-R for the 2025 model year, the last model generation R35, which has been available since 2007.

What's supposed to be the final model year doesn't bring any updates to the exterior, instead carrying over the redesigned bits that were introduced with the facelift in 2024. The same goes for the interior, though GT-R Premium Edition got a new attractive upholstery option Blue Heaven.

In terms of basic construction, the only change for the 2025 is that there are two variants Premium Edition T-Spec in TrackEdition now equipped with precisely balanced piston rings, connecting rods and crankshaft previously exclusive to the version We are not Special Edition. That's why the V6 provides "faster acceleration and faster start-up of the turbocharger". An aluminum plate with the name of the engineer informs about the upgraded internal parts of the engine "Takumi", who worked on the engine, and a gold plate in the engine compartment.

The twin-turbo 3,8-liter V6 produces the same power 421 kW (573 hp) in the standard GT-R and 447 kW (608 hp) in the flagship We did not, which also has a chassis setup tailored to each version.

Nissan GT-R 2025 is already available for order in Japan, with first deliveries expected in June. Prices have increased from last year, from ¥14.443.000 ($97.703) for the base GT-R Pure Edition to ¥30.613.000 (US$207.088) for the most expensive model GT-R Nismo Special Edition. A recent report by Japanese publication Mag X suggested that availability of the 2025 Nissan GT-R will be limited to 1.500 units. However, Nissan has yet to officially confirm this.
