BRIEF HISTORY:
History Alfa Romeo in F1 it dates back to the first year of the championship. In 1950, they are with a racer Farina won the title of champion. A year later, the Italians repeated this masterpiece with Fangioma. But after two years, F1 came to an end. Alfa Romeo, then still a state-owned company, was given only a small budget. But as Ferrari, on the other hand, invested more and more in motorsport, they decided to quit.
It lasted until 1979, when the Alfa Romeo name reappeared in F1. Otherwise, Alfa won some podium finishes, the tones on the other hand were constantly experiencing punches and dramas. At the end of the year, they decided to leave F1 for the second time.
In 2018, a return followed. At least along with the team name Alfa Romeo Sauber the Italians returned to the royal class of motorsport. The Sauber team is supposed to be positioned as B-team Ferrari. After eighth place among the teams, they decided to rename the team to the 2019 season Alfa Romeo Racing. They brought him to the team from Ferrari Chemistry Raikkonenand next to him a Ferrari youngster and development racer by Antonio Giovinazzi.
