Red ALARM at Ferrari: New parts are coming sooner!

Despite Charles Leclerc’s second place at the Austrian Grand Prix in Maranello, a red alarm is burning. The new parts promised for the Hungarian GP will be used by the Reds at the Styrian GP.

Ferrari is under a lot of pressure after being the team boss Mattia binotto in Austria explained why reds are so slow: “So far, we have used the configuration we had in the tests in Barcelona. The knowledge gained in the winter tests encouraged us to change the direction of development, especially in relation to aerodynamics. We first had to figure out why the test results didn’t match what we were hoping for. In the end, we found it counterproductive to continue in the direction we had taken. We noticed that we could not achieve our goal that way. ”

Pri Ferrari recognize that SF1000 cannot meet their expectations, so they want to use new ones as soon as possible aerodynamic parts to make Ferrari more competitive and reduce the gap to the leaders. Using new parts in Spielberg it also makes sense because they will have a direct comparison between the two aero-packages.

Charles Leclerc did win second place at the Austrian Grand Prix, but Ferrari is far ahead of Mercedes in terms of speed.

General Manager Ferrari Louis Camilleri is unhappy with the current package, but believes they will be at Ferrari more competitive with the new aero package: “We know we still have a lot of work to do, especially because we really didn’t want to start the season that way. That is why we want to react immediately and not only eliminate the problems, but also accelerate the entire development program. "
