Bernie Ecclestone: Slavica threw me out

Bernie Ecclestone admitted in an interview that he did not want to separate from his ex-wife Slavica, adding that she knew he was not telling the truth.

In March 2009, after 23 years of marriage, Bernie and Slavica Ecclestone divorced. Now, the former F1 boss admitted in an interview with the Times that the divorce was not his wish, but was wanted by his then-wife. “I was not the one who ended our marriage. She threw me out. ” That was at the end of 2008. Slavica was looking for her home. With the divorce, as reported by the British media at the time, Slavica received more than a billion euros from the family property at the time.

The Briton admitted in an interview that he was still in love with Slavica at the time of the divorce. “Yes, for sure. She was 50 years old. She was quite wealthy and I wanted a different life. She no longer wanted me to be 17 or 18 times away from home every year. ” And why didn’t he just stay home to save the law by doing so? “I believe I mentioned it to her once. But she knew I wasn’t telling the truth. People change. Maybe in the short term, but the real character always comes to the surface. ”

Bernie says that Slavica was unusually different from other women. “She wasn’t just tall. She had character. ” Bernie and Slavica met at a race in Monza in 1982. Slavica was a successful model and worked for Armani. Although she did not know a word of English, she was immediately attracted to Ecclestone. In 1985, they also married.

In their marriage, two daughters were born, namely Tamara and Petra. That he had very little time for his daughter because of the job, Ecclestone does not deny at all. "If someone is away, that's just the way it is." Because of Slavica, Bernie ended his 17-year relationship with his then life partner Tuana. Before that, however, he was married to his first wife, Ivy, with whom he has a daughter, Deborah. Since 2012, however, he has been married to Fabiana. The Brazilian is 47 years younger than Ecclestone.
