Hungarian GP: Hamilton race

A good three laps before the end of the race for the Hungarian GP, it still looked like the world would be orange, but unfortunately the tires on the Verstappn Red Bullu did not allow it and because of this Lewis Hamilton was looking forward to the victory.

Lewis Hamilton is the big winner of the race for the Hungarian GP at the Hungaroring. This is already his eighth win this season, the seventh here in Hungary. But the road to this victory was not easy, or rather, he won it only at the very end of the race, a good three laps before the end, when the tires were on the car Max Verstappen already on the dog. Lewis made a stop more and in the end, although at first many wondered why this extra stop of his turned out to be the right decision. With fresh tires, a softer compound and full engine performance, he literally flew towards the young Dutchman.

The first three of today's race. Disappointed Max, happy Lewis and happy Vettel

The race itself had some exciting scenes, the most notable being both after the start it got Max Verstappen. At that time, the two teammates came very close Valtteri Bottas in Lewis Hamilton the shorter end was pulled by the Finn, whom he overtook in the second corner Charles Leclerc, but even there it didn’t go without a touch. The combination of two close encounters damaged his wings - on the right - to such an extent that his times were below average. For this reason, he has a few rounds of boredom on the track bosses Mercedesa they called him to the pits and changed his tires in addition to his nose.

Bottas ’first close encounter, this time with team-mate Hamilton

With the exception of the first duel between Verstappn and Hamilton, practically nothing surprising happened at the race. Overtaking the lagging behind the lap isn’t exactly a spice to the show. In fact, we watched the tactical battle almost to the end of the race, which the silver arrows also won with an extra stop. Regardless of Hamilton’s fresh tires, this time we saw the true power of the Mercedes engine when all the valves are opened to it. With what ease Hamilton was closing the gap behind Verstappn, it was already something remarkable.

Max also had huge support from his fans here at the Hungaroring

Trembling mechanics Red Bull Racing it ended three laps before the end when Lewis easily overtook Max and easily drove to his next win. Verstappn was immediately called to the pits, fitted with soft tires to win that extra point for the fastest lap of the race, which was outstanding. We believe that the anger of the young Dutchman added to this round, that the victory slipped from his hand just before the end of the race.

The moment that turned the race in favor of Mercedes and Hamilton

He won the Ferrari duel - and without a team order sebastian vettel, who drove an unobtrusive race today, taking the last step on the podium. Although he was Charles Leclerc almost the entire race before the German, it was only a question of when Vettel would catch him and overtake him towards the end of the race, as the young Monaco was very slow on a hard tire mix.

Unnoticed in the race, finally on the podium - Sebastian Vettel

Great again McLaren, which anchored itself in place behind the first three teams. Carlos Sainz he took an excellent fifth place and left behind Pierre Gaslya, which we will probably not see in the first team of rare bulls next year. We find a young Frenchman Chemistry Raikkonen, who finds himself at home on this track. Behind the Alfa Romeo team routine we find his compatriot Valtteria Bottas, who after collocations and pitch at the beginning of the race, however, managed to get among the points winners. Will this show help him with his contract for next year? Lando Norris confirmed his excellent form with ninth place McLaren, for the joy of To Toro Rosso however, he took care of the tenth place Alexander albon. It is necessary to mention a very bad performance Renault. Both racers are out of points, as is the team Haas. Ah yes, we only recorded one resignation and that was to finish the race beforehand Romain Grosjean.

A few more words about the stops in the pits. Few went flawlessly, many had problems and probably just proves that the mechanics are really ripe for vacation, for rest and disconnection from Formula 1, who is now heading for a summer break.
