Ferrari: Is the absence of Kvyato and Giovinazzi known?

Both Kvjat and Giovinazzi were Ferrari's test and development racers and did their job very well.

But now it is Daniil Kvyat again in the red bull stable and this year a team race Toro Rosso, a young Italian Antonio Giovinazzi so he is behind the wheel of a team race car Alfa Romeo Racing.

And a technical expert Gary Anderson is in his column with colleagues from Motorsport put forward this very thesis, as he found: “In the past, Ferrari has managed to take a bigger step forward from Friday to Saturday than most other teams. But as it turns out, this is no longer the case this year."

Giovinazzi was an excellent development racer and helped Ferrari a lot in the 2018 season

According to Anderson two things are possible: “Either Ferrari is getting into the racing weekend stronger and because of that they no longer have much room for improvement, or they no longer have such a benefit from the simulations done overnight. And that's where they come into play Antonio Giovinazzi in Daniil Kvyat, who took over the tasks in the simulator last year.

Kvjat also contributed to the work in the simulator

Anderson Pikro asks himself: “Maybe they did a better job than the options Ferrari has this season.“In the 2019 season, this task is shared by racers Pascal Wehrlein, Brendon Hartley, Antonio Fuocco in Davide rigon.
