Then the year happened 2018, full of uncertainty and everything pointed to collapse. But the business group around Lawrence Stroll saved the impoverished team during the summer break and since then they have been recording a slight rise again. But they are not doing too well this season. After they are on the first four races won points, followed by a drought - to Hockenheimwhen they scored two points for ninth place.
Szafnauer: So far we have sown, it is time to harvest
For the team boss Otmar Szafnauer there is no reason for unrest. “We have been sowing in the past months, now is the time to harvest. We have done a lot in the field of aerodynamics, which is why we expect good results in future races. We firmly believe that we will be significantly stronger in the second half of the season. We want to reduce the gap behind our rivals, and we can only do that by winning points in all the other races."
Also Sergio Perez is optimistic. “We are well prepared and the Spa is the best place to go hunting for points after the summer break. Racers love this track because it is difficult and we usually experience tense races here, not least because of the fickle weather."
