What if…. That's the question Robert Kubica probably often asked. Because his career in Formulas 1 would no doubt take place differently if the spring of the year 2011 would not severely injured at the rally "Round of Andorra“. But injuries Kubico did not stop and this year celebrated its return to royal class of motorsport as a permanent team racer Williams. And because of him Toto wolff, team boss Mercedes, expresses its utmost respect: "I was very happy with his return to Formula 1. Robert proved to all skeptics that even with such an injury he can drive a Formula 1 race car and fight on the track."

But v Williams FW42 they were Kubica and his teammate George Russell without a chance, they never ranked in the second part of the qualifications and even in races they usually drove at the start. Only Cubes was lucky to rank among the top ten namely in the race for German GP, where Poljak in the rain chaos won the only point for the team Williams this season. This was most likely also the last point of the championship Formula 1 za Robert Kubica, as presumed also Wolff. "Despite not getting a seat for 2020, I believe he will stay connected to Formula 1, but in a different role."

There’s actually talk of being able to Kubica in season 2020 remained active as test racer, although this has not yet been confirmed (this is a team Haas). Wolff he does not want to rule anything out and thinks: "You never know with Robert. True, he's saying goodbye now, but maybe he could come back. If I hadn't had this serious accident then, I could have the title in my pocket today," so Austrian.

Robert Kubica scored the only point for the Williams team this season, although he and teammate George Russell had a working tool with which they were without a chance.

Robert Kubica, who was racing for Renault, was namely associated with Ferrari. Wolff does not rule out that it could Kubica got a new chance, but not necessarily in the cockpit. “Robert is a very smart man. With his knowledge, he can become a world champion in another role."It simply came to our notice then Wolff he did not want to mention.
