The teams are on the first free practice for the US Grand Prix had the opportunity to try out four new blends, and they were able to learn more about Pirelli’s ideas for next season at the just-completed tests in Abu Dhabi. At the end of these they are at Pirelli reported that the responses to them were “mixed” and that they would be happy if they could stick to the existing mixes from this season.
In a vote in which it had to at least 70 percent of voters confirm or reject the proposal on existing or new tires, as required by Article 12.6.1 of the FIA Regulations, the teams unanimously decided to continue next season remain with the specification of tires from this season.
"The vote unanimously decided that in the 2020 season of Formula 1, the team will use the tires of the specifications from the 2019 season. The FIA would like to take this opportunity to thank the teams and Pirelli for all their work on improving the tires for the 2020 season. further development of tires that will enable interesting races and maximum safety of racers and other participants on the racetracks, " reported from FIA.
