DAKAR: Amateur Mathieu SERRADORI fastest on stage 8

Eighth stage endurance rally Dakar, which is due to yesterday the tragedy and death of Paul Goncalves not driven by motorcyclists and quad riders, passed in the sign of the French driver Mathieu Serradori, who won with his SRT Buggy before Fernando Alonso in Orlando Terranovo.

Serradori and his team were able to celebrate the daily victory, which is even more true if we consider that for the first time since 1988, it happened that the amateur beat all the professionals.

The stage took place in a circle in any place Wadi Al-Dawasir, and on the 477-kilometer speed test he was the first to take the lead Carlos Sainz, which he had already caught up with after a hundred kilometers Al Attiyah. The Spaniard had quite a few problems navigating, as there were no tracks left behind by the motorcyclists. After just under two hundred kilometers, Sainz had already lost fifteen minutes against Al-Rajhi, fifty kilometers later, however, he had already taken the lead Serradori and finally rejoiced in his first victory of the day at Dakar.

He still leads in the overall standings Carlos Sainz, difference to Nasser Al-Attiyah is now 6 minutes and 40 seconds, peterhansel is a good 13 minutes behind. Serradori he was, of course, overjoyed after the end of the stage, especially because he had serious problems at yesterday's stage, and he was also overjoyed at the end of the day. Fernando Alonso, who was four minutes behind the surprising winner and achieved his best daily ranking so far. The Spaniard especially praised his co-driver, Brand Como, and said that even on loose sand he feels more sovereign day by day.

Fernando Alonso finished the 8th stage in second place, four minutes behind the surprising winner.

He's among the truckers Andrey Karginov increased the lead over the pursuers by just under six minutes. Today’s results, of course, allow the top three motorists to attack from behind, and the 800-kilometer route will lead the caravan from Wadi Al-Davasir to Harad.
