According to some data, the screen of a smartphone is the surface that is we touch it most of the day, and problems arise when we first touch e.g. infected door handles, and then the smartphone itself and thus spread the virus.
How long does the virus "survive" on the screen of a smartphone?
At this point, it is worth noting that viruses do not live by themselves, but invade the cells of the infected organism and use them for their expansion, unlike bacteria, which are single-celled organisms with active metabolism. That's why for destruction of viruses exactly the same measures as for the destruction of bacteria are not possible.
Mobile phone disinfection is all about that we break the structure of the virus and thus prevent its expansion. So clean your (smartphone) properly
Until recently, it was considered that we do not clean mobile phones with aggressive cleaning agents such as alcohol, as it was supposed to damage the epidermis of the screen, but that all changed with the CoViD-19 pandemic. Pri Apple are in mid-March after writing Wall Street Journal already removed this warning and users iPhones they even call for disinfection. They recommend 70% alcohol or disinfectant wipes. To protect against bacterial infections, a wet cloth or a cloth for cleaning glasses is also sufficient.
Otherwise, we can walk through the whole process:
- We turn off the smartphone.
- Take a cloth, it can be a cloth for cleaning glasses or a microfiber cloth.
- We soak the cloth with a disinfectant, we recommend 70% alcohol, which you get in every pharmacy.
- Wipe the entire surface of the cell phone and let it run for thirty seconds. When wiping, make sure that alcohol does not escape into the headphone and charging port. When deleting the screen, do not press too hard on it.
Which disinfectants are appropriate?
Many wonder if it is 70% alcohol enough to destroy the coronavirus. The answer is short and concise: Yes. New coronavirus belongs to the group of enveloped viruses that are on disinfectants more susceptible than enveloped viruses.
It is most effective for hand disinfection hand washing with milom, which is also recommended by dr. Lars Schaade, Vice President of a renowned research institution Robert Koch Institute iz Germany.
