Mercedes, Ferrari in Red Bull are the only three teams to win the period hybrid technologies in Formula 1, which was introduced in 2014. In the same six seasons, however, it is in the series IndyCar won 11 different teams.

"I think the IndyCar series is a product that could be seen in Formula One from a competitive point of view," so Brown for colleagues from Motorsport. "Of course not from a technical point of view - don't get me wrong, because Formula 1 is Formula 1 and IndyCar is IndyCar. What I mean is that you have 17 races and big teams always win the title, but you also have three or four surprising race winners."

McLaren’s first husband Zak Brown believes Formula 1 should have the competitiveness that the American IndyCar racing series has.

"So when you race at a Detroit race, you have a good idea of who might win. However, about ten racers can win, not just five. And these, say 10 to 15 racers, can win two or three races a year. This can never happen in Formula 1. I don't remember the last time we had a surprising winner in a Formula 1 race. If we can get closer to the competition, big teams will continue to win championships, but we would also have surprises, ” tako American.

The last surprise in Formula 1 was the Lotus, which was among the winners of the royal motorsport class races in the 2013 season. Today, surprises are no longer possible even in chaos.

Zak Brown he adds: "But for surprising victories, you wouldn’t need complete chaos in the race. Maybe it would just be a bad stop in the pits or a bad day of strategists, not that complete chaos would lead to us getting a surprising winner.“Years 2013 was Lotus, today Renault, one of seven different winners na the first seven races season.
