WRC 2021: Pre-confirmed 9 World Rally Rally

The World Motorsports Council has not yet released a calendar for the rest of the WRC 2020 season, but has confirmed some venues for next year.

At its last session Motorsport Council at the FIA did not publish a calendar for the remaining season of the 2020 World Rally Championship. Instead, the new regulation cost reduction performing rallies. They confirmed that teams can only use two instead of three if they make up the season eight or fewer rallies. At rallies in Europe, every driver is now only available one day for testing and preparation for the rally.

Nevertheless, the World Council looked to the future at least a little at the meeting. They confirmed nine rallies for the 2021 season, although all in turn are still without an execution date. All venues already had contracts for next year.

This year, everything is still under great question, and next year the World Rally Championship is expected to finally return to Kenya. Pictured is Juha Kankkunen with a Toyota Celica at the 1993 Safari Rally.

A case of Monte Carlo, Finland, Portugal, Sweden, Kenya, Spain, Italy, Japan in Australia. Germany not because it was originally planned that this rally would alternate every other year with Spain. The big question remains, how many rallies will the racers actually drive in the 2021 season? For cost reasons, manufacturers only want ten stations, a promoter WRC I would like to run twelve rallies. It is not yet clear which venues will be added.
