If epidemiological situation in Austria next week will not drastically worsen, the inaugural races of the 5 World Championship in Formula 12 will take place on 2020 and 1 July. The Austrian news agency APA announced that the health authorities in Slovenia's northern neighbor will carry out everything 10 and 12 thousand tests of the new coronavirus.

“Everyone who works on the racetrack - that’s a total of 3000 people moving in the red zone - can enter their work area only with a negative test result on covid-19, which is not older than four days. Everyone from the area who will be moving around the racetrack will be tested on the spot, ” he said in an interview with APA Siegfried Schnabl, General Manager Eurofins Genomics for Austria and Eastern Europe and responsible for Spielberg.
From next Monday, capacity will increase to include 20 test stations on the racetrack itself. “We have 50 employees who will routinely take swabs of entire Formula 1 and FIA teams. Everyone has to be re-tested every five days, ” he said Schnabl.
The logistics concept assumes that there will be samples twice a day taken from the racetrack to the laboratory in Ebersberg, 30 km east of Munich. Namely, they evaluate samples there 24 hours a day and seven days a week, so that the laboratory has a capacity of 25.000 tests a day. The results are known in 16 to 24 hours after sampling. The same company will also take care of sampling in Budapest.
