Mick SCHUMACHER's emotional letter: "First and foremost, it's my father"

Mick Schumacher in the message for his personal patron Under Armor looked unusually deep inside and described how he was inspired by his father Michael.

Mick Schumacher is with the title My Way Through wrote an emotionally open letter offered to the media for publication by his personal sponsor Under Armor. In the letter, the 21-year-old writes about to Father Michael and his big goal in motorsport - to drive Formula 1 and become a champion.

“I realized very early on that I wanted to be a Formula 1 driver, a champion. When I was three years old, I took up karting for the first time - of course it wasn’t real karting at the time - at the age of eight I entered the national racing sport system. When I was eleven or twelve, I knew I wanted to do it professionally. ”

“In the beginning, I used different names to race anonymously and to be able to improve smoothly without being too exposed to the Schumacher son label,” se Schumacher recalls its beginnings. Among other things, he competed in some races as Mick betsch - under the maiden name of his mother Corinne.

Mick Schumacher is right not to burden himself with media writing, but to follow his path towards Formula 1.

Mick points out that he doesn’t feel any pressure because of it surname Schumacher and because he opted for the same career path as his father. "I create most of the stress myself," says Mick, “I try to learn all the time, so I think a lot about what I did wrong and how I can improve it. People know the headlines in the newspapers and the ‘stardom’ of my father, which I fully understand. After all, the year after I was born, he won the first of five Formula 1 championships in a row, that’s amazing, right? I have never seen my father as the greatest driver in the world. ”

In a letter to Under Armor Mick Schumacher points out that Michael for him, he is not a seven-time world champion admired by millions of Formula 1 fans, but: "First and foremost, it's my father."
